Vista HP problems with usb mouse (genuis)

The Genius usb mouse was seen fine by Vista up until 3 days ago. For some reason I am getting a hardware problem and cannot install the driver. I cannot locate a driver for the GM-050007 usb mouse and M$ are of no help.

Anyone any ideas?
