Anyway, so after seeing this awesome as hell deal on Newegg for the Acer AL2216Wbd 22" widescreen LCD monitor, I decided I need to get this to replace my extremely old and outdated 15" Dell LCD. Heres the link
22" widescreen
1680x1050 resolution
0.282 pixel pitch
700:1 contrast ratio
5ms response
DVI-D (HDCP) input can someone clarify what is HDCP is
This is my setup, will my computer be able to handle this monitor? (I should think so). I've read reviews and heard this monitor is excellent and so is the picture; how does this sound for for movies, music, and general use? Can this play movies at 720p and higher?
My computer right now is having problems running 720p video, is this the monitor or is this my computer and codecs? BTW, my resolution right now is only 1024x768.

haha nice nice. Say I wanted to hook up this monitor to my Xbox 360, is there a way of doing that since this monitor does not support HDMI? If there is a way, would there be a reduction of quality since there needs to be an alternate way? And lastly, are all DVI cables the same? If I bought another one besides the stock cable that comes with the monitor, would picture quality be enhanced or would I not notice a difference?

unlike VGA DVI comes in a blend of different types (DVI-M and such), you want for your computer connection a DVI-D cable.
It seems as if I need to by Microsofts adapter to be able to hook my monitor up the the 360, because a 360 does not have an HDMI port, but rather an adapter or w/e it is. sigh, f that man i just wanna be able to play games in high def and not spend more money on some stupid shit
