DVD Player will not play ripped movie

What I had done is download an avi movie and wanted to convert it to a DVD format. I had used AVI2DVD to convert the AVI file to DVD files. Then using DVD Fab to burn it to a DVD. It plays in my brother in law player but not in mine. The file informaton shows that the fps is 25, but I think it should be 30 fps ?

Anyone have any ideas ?

its either a media/compatibility issue with your DVD player or your DVD player doesn't support those kind of files look in your owners manual and see.

using good media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim burning at 6x to 8x max is a must also

Is it correct that NTSC format is compatible with 30 fps and Pal is compatible with 25 fps ?
