Sure. Plenty of free tools to do it too. Look ^^^ up there in downloads. Some possibilities: VirtualDub MPEG, AutoGK, Super, etc.

1:1 copy of any format:~)? If you want a 1:1 copy of an AVI, mpeg, mp4... you just use the copy/paste function in Windows explorer!!!

When you convert to a different format, you don't make a 1:1 copy.

LOL! I undersood what you meant! I was just being naughty pointing out the improper wording(the 1:1 copy, which basically would mean a DVD clone:~)!)
I had FairUse crash when I first tried it. It seems that there was some conflict with some codecs. Can't tell you which one, as I un-installed all of them(had too many codecs trying to do the same job at the same time) and then I re-installed the ones that I needed. I went from a codec pack to Xvid, Divx, RealAltenative and FFDShow, about all that I need.
By all means, if Winavi does the job, there is no reason to change. When it works like it is suppose to be working, it is actually a good program.
