i have cd's and dvd's with silver labels. Does this mean anything? it isnt a lightscribe i tried to burn labels on it but it didnt work and i dont think its printeble either becaus printeble are like ... smooth labels or something. So what is it? or is its... nothing just the way they make it?
No writing is on the disc,so some people like that. I got some silver/shiny verbatim and they were pretty good and lots of room to label them with a sharpie. A lot of times you can get them cheaper than the regular discs-Taiyo Yuden,Verbatim, and Ritek. Beware if they were made by any other brand name.
They can be used with the dreaded sticker labels.Polyester labels would be safer than the paper/sticker labels. They may also be able to be used with thermal printers.
They come in silver, mirror finish, or slightly goldish colors. Other names for similar discs are Thermal printable and Shiny Lacquer.
