Hi,
I saw the NEC nd2500 8x DVD - and + burner at blankdiskshop.co.uk, I'm happy with my 106d but I'm wondering if I should recommend this DVD writer to my friend (otherwise I might just tell him to get a 106d too). Anyone know anything about this burner, is it anygood? for the price (under 100 quid!) and speeds of 8x on -/+R it sounds good.
also anyone know how much the next pioneer writer that will do 8x on - and +R might cost? I trust pioneer more than any of the other writers u see...

Hi I got this drive 3 dayds ago to replace the Sony 500ax crap I had used for the past 10 months. So far I have burned 36 disks not 1 problem.

I haven't any 8x disks but Arita ritek 4x+r start at 4x and when it when it reaches 22% goes to 6x.

Datasafe Ritek g04 write @ 4x
Arita Ritek g04 write @ 4x

Verbatim 4x -r are reported to write 8x I have ordered some they should be here tomorrow.
So very happy with mine so far.
Don't ask about Princo as I won't use them.
