I've recently had a problem with my computer. For instance, everytime i've been turning on my computer, I hear the power going on, fans... but no beep. It happened just when I tried removing the heatsink with no luck(like I tried to pull down the notch but It slipped and it touched the Mobo slightly hard). Can Someone please tell me the problem! I'm getting really worried about my pc. Thanks to anyone who can help me!

it could be any of many things

make sure that the 12 volt power plug is still plugged into the Main board (it'll have 4 wire connectors on the plug)

reseat video card and ram

make sure the main MB plug is plugged in all the way across (24 pin connector)

make sure your heatsink is on properly, maybe it's no longer seated the way it should.

do what zero suggested, and if that doesn't work... disconnect everything except video card, 1 stick of ram, cpu/hsf... reset cmos, and try again. I had very similar problems with a recent build... turned out the first motherboard was bad, AND one of the memory sticks... lucky for me everything was still within return policy!

If that doesn't work, try your stick of RAM in a different slot, and try both sticks on at a time... if that doesn't work, then it's time to try all your hardware (ram/video card/cpu) in a known working system...

I tried it all but no love, but for the heat sink it wont come off its the heat sink with 3 notches and there is no way to put a flathead screwdriver.

why were you removing the heat sink?

heres how i see it-

with no beeps it's either the PSU, MB, or Processor.

video card and ram there will still be beeps

Try another PSU or use a tester on the PSU
if not it
try actually removing the heat sink and reseating the processor
if not it
have the MB tested

good luck
