I wanted to grab the Verbs on sale this week at Best Buy. I have a newbie question though: are +/- that different from each other?

I'm on my wife's new computer. My old one had no problem burning either one, but I don't know about the new one with Vista. Is one format (+/-) more compatible than the other?

krl23-while not knowing the specifics of your wifes's new computer & or DVD burner ect... I cannot guarantee anything!!! I should think the Fact that You say the Computer & therefore the Burner as well is new ? bodes well for Either DVD-R Or DVD+R Media ( Blanks ) And verbatim is The Best Store Bought Media your Going to find IMHo !!! Some dvd recoders are set up to record only on DVD+R media But Most fairly recent DVD burners will burn either ! The difference - I've used Both in verbatim DVD-R & DVD+R and Unless Your going to Booktype Them ? The DVD-R'S are every bit the same quality IMHO ! If your going to Booktype or are buying them for a DVD-Recorder that only handles DVD+R then get the DVD+R's Realistically if the players that you are using playback both equally well get either ! I know this sounds confusing ! THe quality is the same in either so get happy !!!!!
