My connection is unknown and it takes ages to log in!!!!

My computer just started to take ages to log in after I downloaded service pack 1 for vista. Then I get going and my connection isn't working it says it is unknown. My wireless adapters working but it still says the connection is unknown. Also, when I get logged on it gives me a message that says my winsock was installed wrong. WTH is going on!?!?!
