hi i apologize if this thread was already posted by someone else but i must've missed it. I downloaded this ps2 game and i wanna burn it , it came in many rar-looking (have the same rar icon) files that say .r01 up untill .r22 when i extract those one big iso file appeared. now my ps2 is modded and has no prop playing games my friends burned. i have a dvd reader/writer which i use at the lowest possible speed when burning (4x)using nero or ultra iso. however i just want to know whether i should extract the iso file then burn what's in it or burn the whole thing? and what format do i want to choose when burning with nero (eg: data disc, video etc..)? and how to choose that format? thnx
ok i have
ind-ffxii.r01
ind-ffxii.r02
and so on untill
ind-ffxii.r63 (sorry 'bout earlier i thought they were 22)
then there are
ind-ffxii.rar
and ind-ffxii.sfv
My suggestion - download the game again from somewhere else.
You're supposed to get a .rar file which when extracted gives you 2 files: an ISO and another small file (eg. a .mds or .mdf)
What file did you extract and get a big iso according to you anyway?
I have seen people download movies and get files like those .ro1 - simply put it does not work! and there is nothing you can do with them.
srry it took so long to reply the network connection has been awful, it's fixed now. well i extracted all the files simultaneously and winded up with the big iso file that contains the same things as a ps2dvd (when read from a pc's dvd-drive) anyway my question was and still remains should i burn the entire iso or the contents of that iso. plz help me since every game i download has the same files. (or a variation of the name with the .r0# on it)
i also have a rar file but its very small (48 Mb small) what should i do with it. plus i read in another thread that i shouldopen nero and choose smart burn or something could someone elaborate?
THERE'S AN EDIT BUTTON? (srsly i didn't notice. These were too many ok's in one post i must've messed something up lol. sry for not gettin it but this is my first time doing something like this.
any way the small rar file it somehow miracously contains the iso file (the 4 GB iso file) so if i extract it it's like extracting the entire 62 r0# files. so this is what i understand i should extract the 62 files or the rar file then use nero to burn the iso image witht the above stated method correct... off i go then. i'll post my results when i'm done thnx.
ok here what u do download image burn from google and instal then after u extract the files u would get the iso file thats all u would need to burn open imageburn and select img to dvd then place a blank dvd in and push the burn icon and selsct 4x speed and 1 copy and then it should work

Double click the .r01 and select an "extract to" location.. wait a while as it unpacks all the files.. Then burn the resulting iso (even if winrar is wrongly associated with iso's and shows it as a rar.).
