my home stereo wont play my mp3 burned disk , when it used to, not long ago play burned disk from my pc in mp3 format. At first the stereo would display 'no disk' when the burnt disk was inserted in the stereo, so i used a mp3 converter (just incase the music was not in mp3 format - Switch Sound File Converter-) The stereo then said 'no play' when the disk was tested again, the thing is it used to do it easily a few weeks ago. whats up with that! please help am not very computer literate so if you do have any explanations please explain as basic as possible thanks x

off the top of my head, poor quality media is often the problem.
Others reasons could be VBR; some players don't like it.

Possibly issues with the CD being closed. If you create a multisession
disk, it's left open but the session is closed. It varies from player
to player.

If it doesn't work on your old disks that previously played well,
then perhaps the laser is dirty, the disk is dirty, or the player
is malfunctioning.

Most cd players really don't like rw disks.

Also can these players handle songs in folders.. some do some don't. My goodmans mp3cd player will only accept mp3 files on the root of the disk, the disk must be a good brand cd-r burned at no more than 16x and finalized, the mp3's must be constant bitrate... and it spits it out at anything other than 256kbps.

These things are real picky about what formats they will accept.

@canof... are your players even mp3 players?
