PS2 with a fried laser and dead motherboard. All it does is turn on, no pix on the screen. I need to sell that or find another broken one to fix this one? Possibly combine parts to make 1 working one.

I have a broken PSP (joystick dosnt work right easy fix if you have patiance), a broken fat ps2 (missing a few case screws and needs a couple ribbon bands also an easy fix), and a red ring of death 360 console (only good for minor parts being the motherboard is also scratched). i wouldnt mind 20 for ps2, 40 for psp, and 30 for 360 (negotitable). I was attempting a quick fix with a bolt and the screw driver slipped and ripped out 3-4 tiny resistors or transistors

Other than that, Does it still power on? Just give the RROD? From when you last used it, did everything except the motherboard work? Where are you located? I may go for the 360, I've been wanting one to mod.
BTW do you still have the resistors/transistors that fell off? Can you post a pix of the board?

It does not power on NOW because of the board being scratched, no i do not have the parts that fell off they were so tiny i could not find them, but yes when it used to power on i didn't get full ring it would work for 10-15 min then i would get the overheat ring. i was attempting to fix it by making a more secure connection between the motherboard and heatsink. after inspecting it the only usable parts are The 2 heatsinks, the plastic case, the front start panel, the DVD drive, the air duct inside, and various ports on the MB that can be unsoildered off and soldered on another console.

I went and took pictures of everything i could, the one close up of the missing chips did not come out good because they were next to the CPU and i was getting the flash shining back. also i live in upstate NY i forgot to include that... if you want pics PM or AIM me and i will send.

Very true. I was actually hoping to be able to fix the resistors or whatever they were but my skills in electrical aren't that good yet. All I've fixed so far is a broken transistor on my video card.
