HELP!!!!!!! FF7 TROUBLE!!!!

I have been trying to get Final Fantasy 7 (the original PSX version) on my PSP. I have a copy of FF7, that I got from a friend, but I think that it is a bad copy. It would start but when I got to the title screen and chose NEW GAME, it would not play the game itself. The PSP, however, was not frozen, I could still hit home and bring up the POPS menu. I tried using POPS 3.71 but that didn;t even let the game play. I tried starting it on another disc then changing over, That didn't work. I tried reloading the game, no good. I have 3.90 M33-2 custom firm ware. I have tried everything that I know to do. I was wondering, where can I download a good copy of FF7 off the internet?

I think you are correct in assuming it is a bad rip of the game. If the games load and gets to anything normally the PSP is not the problem. however, we are not allowd to direct you towards where to download games. All I can say is search google.
