what sort of disk do i have to burn games 2?

The most commonly used discs are DVD-R and DVD+R. Though there are some games that need to be burned to CD-R media. What method are you using to boot these backups?
Ex. Swapmagic, chip, exploit?

Edit: might want to make thread title more descriptive, otherwise it'll probably get shutdown by mods.
