i dont know if it is ilegal but does anyone know if it is possible to open a update eboot and replace stuff in it? for example to replace the original psp waves with a custom one or the xmb sounds.

I don't know about the update eboot, but themes can change the waves on startup, and I'm pretty sure they can change the sounds as well.

It not illegal either. its your PSP you can do whatever you want with it. The only illegal thing is to have roms on it that you do not origanally own . but who cares ;)
