computers running really really hot

hey everyone, so the other day my computer started running really hot for no apparent reason. it usually runs around 30-34 while doing the normal activities, (surfing the net, watching some movies, using word, etc); but lately its been running in the upper 30's (37-41) or so. the temps have gone up here some in the past week (central indiana) but the a/c in the house has been on also to make the temps what they have always been at. i dusted it all out today, and put my other 120mm fan on the side blowing more air towards the cpu, while the two 40mm are acting as exhaust fans. the cpu itself is an amd 5000+ black edition thats OCed a little bit, and a huge aftermarket cooler on it. all the fans appear to be running fine. other than that i dont really have anything else to say, was just looking for your guys' input on what could be causing this.
just an update here, i downloaded hardware sensors monitor, and it claims that CPU1 is at 35, and CPU0 Core is at 22. so i dont know which to go off of now, bc they are both reporting the same temps for the HDs and gpu.

Running at 37-41C isn't even warm. My computer runs at 42C when doing nothing, but never gets above 46C when multitasking.

i understand it may not be warm compared to other computers out there, but i do see a reason why it jumps up to a higher temperature for no apparent reason. this is why i'm concerned about it.

maybe your heatsink shifted? try reseating it with a fresh coat of AS5.

Believe it or not, linear increasesin ambient temperature seem to prompt exponential increases in PC temperatures - I believe it's because the efficiency of power regulators decreases as they get warm, so they use more power to provide the same output, therefore increasing further, chain reaction develops. In a room temp of 21C, your CPU might reach 42 degrees. In a room temp of 26C, your CPU might reach 50.

ahh, i see, darn computer parts, why cant they make them stay cool, lol. well thanks for everyones input, and i guess ill leave it as it is then.

Dig up an old PC from a couple of decades ago and there'll be no heatsinks, no fans, no nothing. What the hell happened?

we wanted to do more than type... games, videos, etc... and in order to do that efficiently, we need more power, more power=more heat... oh wait were you being sarcastic? lol
