PSPlayerMT can brick psp due to overclock?

In the PSPlayerMT readme it says it can brick psp since it clocks at 333MHZ but dont alot of homebrew run at that speed? Anyone hear of this happening? Dev being to cationus? Would i know i needed to stop the video cause psp would start feeling hot? Any better mkv playing homebrew?

overclock through recover mode and your fine:) at worse the consle freezes but we haven't seen a brick due to a 333mhz

its such a old homebrew that 333mhz was not tested that much.

i am happy to say though that psplayermt is a fine program
if you find that it does freeze its likly to be the size of the video if its over 480x272 in res then it will crash (i did test it) but all work fine after

as tripplite said there has been no know brick from overclocking at 333mhz and my psp games run at that speed e.g gta vcs and ffcc will run at 333
