My LCD has both VGA and HDMI inputs. My video card has the same corresponding outputs. Which one should I be using and why?

HDMI will offer a far superior picture quality. It's not common for a graphics card to have an HDMI output, and less common still for a monitor to have one. Do you mean DVI? That's the typical standard (and don't worry, the picture quality of DVI is also excellent, VGA is the only naff one):


VGA is the one on the left, DVI the one on the right.



For this cable, DVI on the right, HDMI on the left.

oh I have my HDMI and DVI mixed up. Substitute HDMI for DVI and same question.

VGA is Analog, and DVI is digital, so you don't get fuzz or blur.
