I just read somewhere that Microsoft has decided to turn off the MSN Music license servers on August 31.So this really really sucks, I purchased over the years tons of music from msn,and it's supposed that if you do any changes to your computer, like let's say you upgrade to vista these songs will not work anymore.What if my computer crashes?All my music will be lost.:(
DRM ed music really is a pain in the back,I never liked it too much because of the restrictios it has when it comes to transfering and playing it on whatever device you want.But I don't think your music will be lost, there are other ways of saving it.you might try writing it to cd's and then re ripping it to the computer as mp3 files, this should get rid of the drm.
I don't think that this burning and re ripping thing you're talking about is such a good sollution.I mean, I would need a whole bunch of cd's to burn all that music,it's really a waste of cd's.And what about my cd writer, it would totally wear it out.
Isn't there some sort of soft that can deal with the drm protection of those files?I've been having some issues with some of protected files, it bugs me that I can't use them on whatever device I need.
Try Tunebite, I use the tool.It works good and I found on the net some pretty good reviews about it when I was still trying to decide what soft to get.This should help with those protected files of yours.Cheers.

No unless you have a huge collection. My burner has burned more that 5,000 disks and it has shown no sign of wear.
I get CDs for 10 per dollar. Think of this a pentance for being such a KNUCKELHEAD to trust the likes of Microsoft. They are the scum of the earth! They think God made you so they can f*ck you. Apple is in that same boat. I really feel sorry for the morons that ungraded Mediaplayer so Microsoft could put DRMs on music you ripped.
well, thanks although I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of such knuckleheads just like me who had music from that msn music store.I don't have a huge collection of music but I just don't see ripping all the files to cd's such a good solution.
