Is DVDFab worth purchasing? I have a 30 free trail, but not sure whether to buy it. If not, is there another DVD ripper with free software anyone would recommend?

Check out the article and you'll get all the info for freeware.
AnyDVD by slysoft always updates their software for copywrite protection and you will run into some problems as not all freeware will work for new movies and releases.

happykid - I personaly do not use AnyDVD myself but check around it does have great reviews and know it can be frustrating to pruchase something that will not work for everything. If you check around in the forums and even other chat rooms, nothing but positive things and if a movie won't back up you should soon get an update that will allow you from my readings.
