Ok then i am after moving my hard drive from my old computer (Intel Celeron 1.2 Ghz, poor i know but it has done me proud over the years and it cost under a £100) to my new computer (Intel Pentium 4 2.6 Ghz, tower only got it for nothing though) but I dont want to format it and lose my programs, settings and tweaks and need help to do this. If i did a repair from disc would i lose my data and if not which repair would i use?

not possible; windows will fail to boot because of all of the hardware changes. you have to do a fresh install of your OS.

so you have to save all of your programs/music/pictures/documents onto a external hdd.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

meh....then your stuck in a sticky situation.......you can backup all your goodies to an online file share site:)...an external HDD is something very useful i suggest you invest in one as they become really handy over time:)

(just put the files to private)

if you want to move all your preferences/documents/background/music and all that goodness you can use the windows file transfer wizard:P
