8ms or better is what I would look for. Actually, something that's 6ms or better.

Auto motion 120hz is a feature with high end Samsung LCD's. That's just the refresh rate on the LCD. Response time and refresh rate go hand in hand.

Quote:
Faster Frames for a Clearer Picture
This technology doubles the frame rate from 60 to 120 frames per second (120Hz LCD panel) without repeating the same image to make more frames. Instead, the TV intelligently calculates the ?middle? image between frame A and frame B and inserts it in between (Auto Motion Plus 120Hz processor), making a fluid transition from one frame to the next.

Supposedly there has been some issues reported with this feature. People are seeing a lot of motion blur due to some problems with the chip. There are FW updates on the web that will fix the problem. If you get a Samsung that offers 120hz technology, read up on it.

24fps is as true to the original film process as you can get. Every frame is displayed at 24 frames per second. I think watching movies encoded this way, will eliminate a lot of artifacts and judders. You will also need a player capable of outputting at 24fps.

Here's a list of Blu-ray players and their specs. Look for the 24fps option.
