i have the linksys wrt54g router,and everytime i play world of warcraft and am in a big city,my router seems to choke on the people that are connected and disconnects, can't do anything else but reboot it then...
This also happens with torrents when i use lot of connections,
As far as torrents, that router is fine when connections are limited. You will get good speed and all that.
You might want to post in the games forum to get info on either a different setup so this router works well or a different router.
I'm not a gamer myself.
