Hi all, I just want to know if I can erase the memory from my previous Windows Installations. I have re-install Windows several times, and I see that my memory doesn't get wiped out. All I have is 2GB space on my computer, and as you can see, my previous files that were wiped out is still on my memory space... I want to delete those items permanently. Is there any possible way of doing this? Do you know what I'm talking about? :S

Thanks in advance. (Whatever that means :|)

Well when you reformat it will install Windows with all the necessary files only. I don't know what you mean by erasing memory, do you mean your RAM?

I think...
I have a crappy computer with 38GB. I used like 12GB of it then I downloaded a virus. I had to re-install Windows, realizing that I only have 26GB left... Then I used maybe 10GB then I had to re-install Windows and 16GB left... And now I once again have to re-install Windows and I only have 2GB left.. I'm running out of memory space... So, is there anyway to remove the files that don't appear on my PC anymore..?

Do you know what I mean? :S

Yes you can but I think at this point it would involve reformatting the hard drive. You basically wipe the hard drive clean and start from scratch.

save what info you need but not the installed programs. delete the partition, make a new partition, format the drive then load xp.

Oh I see... Thankyou for your help! The next time my sister agrees to re-install Windows, I'll do that. Thanks again :)
