nero burning problems?

whenever i try to burn a dvd-r using nero5.5.9.0, no matter which way i try to burn, i always end up with a situation where the disc will 'begin' to burn but after a couple of seconds, i recieve a 'power calibration error'.
anybody have any suggestions? thanx

What drive you have? Have you tried to upgrade to the latest version (5.5.9.6)? Do you have ASPI layer installed? What operating system?

whew, sounds like you got a collection of expensive coasters. Make sure your drivers for your DVD-R drive are up to date.
