I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of to back this movie up. DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, DVD Fab Decrypter, DVD Fab HD Decrypter, Ripit4Me, Nero Recode with AnyDVD, The built in ripper for AnyDVD, even tried just copying the files straight to the hard drive. I can't seem to get anything working. The disc plays fine, so it isn't do to scratches or anything of that sort. Is there some new copy protection scheme on this movie? It is a sony movie, so it wouldn't surprise me if that were the case. ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

if your programs are up to date then you should have no problems doing this DVD. I haven't heard of anyone else having a problem with this DVD. And, it's possible that you have a bad press that makes it difficult for the programs to read your disk so it can rip it properly! Playing the disk might not be a problem but ripping the disk could be with a bad press. Store bought DVDs are not burned they are pressed and if one is slightly off it could make ripping/copying difficult but still plays. I suggest you bring back to the store for replacement! Then try again.

IHoe is right on, the possibility of a bad press is the most likely cause as this movie was a breeze to back up.

EDIT: I backed mine up with DvdFab, BTW.

In the treads as of late seen quite a few cases of "but the dvd played OK in the stand alone player, and no scratches on the disc, so why can't back it up?"

Whole lot of bad presses lately.

My sig speaks truth !
