Need Help, with Breaker pro, playing psx backups

When I run a psx backup game with breaker pro on slim ps2, I get a black verticle bar from the right side of the screen that grows larger and covers up half the screen, could someone
please help me out here. But sometimes it will work fine without the bar, but on less occasions.

HELP.

This Black verticle bar, does this happen after starting the game, or when starting breaker pro.
When it works without the bar, is that with a different backup or the same one?

It probably has something to do with the backup itself. How are you burning your PS1 backups.
Is the backup the same region as your PS2.
