So this is the comp:
HP Pavilion M8300F(GX611AA) Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 3GB DDR2 640GB NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE Windows Vista Home Premium
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...7513&Tpk=m8300f
Here is a picture of the case:

Replacing the stock 300W power supply with this one:
APEVIA ATX-CW500WP4 ATX 500W Power Supply 115/ 230 V UL, CSA, TUV, CE
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817148027
Replacing the GeForce 6150SE with 1 of these 2:
EVGA 512-P3-N801-AR GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130318
or
MSI NX8800GT 512M OC GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Overclocked
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127329
Since the 6150se is integrated, I wont be removing it from the computer correct? I will just be installing the new card and the comp should turn off the integrated one and start using the new one right? Now will this PC be able to take the 8800gt? and will the overclocked 8800gt (double decker) fit inside my case or do I have to settle for the single decker one?
Do these HP's allow for power supply to be replaced easily? Does the PS I chose look like it will easily swap in? Have read that prebuilt HPs sometimes dont allow PS to be replaced...any truth in this with this model?
Since my laptop does not run Age of Conan as smoothly as I would like it too...I want to turn this desktop pc that my aunt gave me into something that can run AoC good...without spending lots of $$. Like I said, not looking to spend lots of $$ or build a comp that will last me years...i just want something quick and cheap that will play AoC on high settings with good fps.
From what I understand the gfx card and ps are the only 2 things that I MUST replace for this PC to run AoC good. If I am overlooking something, needing to replace other parts (ie. ram, processor?), missing something (ie. extra fan?), please let me know.
Thanks in advance to anyone who will take the time to help me out with this.

yes, you won't remove the 6150SE. you will just add the 8800GT.
do NOT get that power supply. cheap power supplies can take down the whole system when it goes out. get THIS one instead. it may be 50w lower and more expensive, but it's more stable, and will power the 8800GT with ease.
ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd

Apevia PSUs are awful. Go with the one cee suggests. As for the GPU, I wouldn't get either. EVGA cards can be problematic, as can overclocked ones. Get this one instead:

Fortunately the rest of the specs of the PC are sufficient for it to play decent games.

you'd want the standard 8800GT 512. if you're gonna get a 8800GTS, go for the 512 as it uses the newer G92 core, the same one in the 8800GT.

before you place your order, swap the evga for the xfx that sammorris posted. evga cards have been going iffy.

Agreed. XFX over EVGA, definitely. Good choices.
