I have a good 35" Sony analog TV and I have a good roof top antena. (No cable) I would like to keep it in 2009.

If, instead of buying a converter, I buy a dvd recorder with digital tuner, can I keep the picture in picture feature? If not are there any other solutions?

Which dvd's can be also used as digital converters?
