PS2 Dual Layer Backup Issues (mulitiple games)

I will apologize in advance if this issue has already been covered, but I did not see it.

Every time I try to burn a dual layer backup (1st God of War 2, more recently Metal Gear Solid 2 substance) I run into the same brick wall.

PS2 says unable to read disk and if I look in the PS2 browser it says it's a DVD Video.

Have been utilizing DVD Decrypter
Hardware is as follows.

PC (burner)
Sony DRU720A (firmware altered to allow booktype setting)
Booktype setting for DVD+R DL is set to DVD-ROM

Discs
Variable (currently Memorex DVD+R DL cause I ran out of Maxell)

PS2
v14 modded with DMS Lite latest TOXIC BIOS

Game
currently Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance (from the Metal Gear Solid collection)

Is there something I need to do, some patch I need to apply to the ISO or have I just burned through 10 discs (I didn't want to bother anyone on the forums cause I haven't really had anything to contribute) by being stupid, maybe forgetting a step (hard to believe since there's only 2 steps, but possible).

Anyway I apologize again for having bothered anyone, hope someone knows whats going wrong.

Try using a DVD-R DL, or try using ImgBurn

DVD-R DL is currently not an option (I'm broke :P)

But I'll give ImgBurn a shot.

*edit* Tried. Result...Non Readable Disc...Could have been a fluke...Afraid to try again as I only have one left...If nobody else has any ideas by this time tomorrow I will attempt once more.
