Hi, I have a PSP running 3.40 OE-A from 1.5. It's a normal fat PSP etc.

I'd like to run snes games on there (Mario really) and i've read around about the snes9x but I couldnt find any guides and I dont really wanna mess it up. I wonder if any of you guys could point me in the right direction or perhaps tell me if there's any specific software/setting issues I may have or need to address before and while installing? Also what snes 9x version to use please.

Thank you for your helps.

Please dont brick.

Its not hard and dont worry because if you dont get it right just try again ; there's no risk...

So unzip ur file of SNES9X it should look somet like this one http://www.emulator-zone.com/download.ph...es9x_002y24.zip (i dont know if thats the most recent but it shoudl work)

Plug Your PSP into USB

Inside your MS/PSP/GAME create a folder named SNES9X and put the eboot.pbp from the folder you just unzipped into the folder named SNES9X. Place the rom files wherever you wish. Zip rom files are supported, but must only contain one file. (roms are games)

Make sure you are running kernel 1.50
(to do this
1. fully switch off PSP
2. switch back on while holding R
3. configuration
4. kernel version)

CONTROLS:
Triangle (X)
Square Circle ?? (Y) (A)
Cross (B)

The digital pad/START/SELECT/L/R are used as is.
You may change their assignment in the key configuration.

Analog Pad Up Skip Frame - Increase
Down - Decrease
Left Open Menu
Right Toggle the sound on and off.
You may switch the function of the digital pad and the analog pad in the menu.

{Menu Controls}
Pad Up Down Move the cursor
L R trigger Cursor Jump
Pad Left Decrease selected value ON
Pad Right Increase selected value OFF
Square The current settings save as a default.
Circle Enter
Cross Return to Game
START+SELECT Return to PSP menu

I cannot say where to get your games from as this is illegal (unless you own the game)

put the frame skip up and change the cpu speed to 333mhz (think the max is 300mhz on snes9x)

that should speed it up

if you mean will it change the speed of the cpu for psp games then no

it only changes the speed that snes9x runs the roms at

there are some other things that you can changes as well that will increas the spee that the rom run at i think if you change it so some of the graphic/texture enhancers are off it should speed it up as well
