Subtitles do not appear in MVIX media player

I have a few avi clips .I am able to load sub titles in all the players in PC.But when I tranfer the video to MVIX not able to play subtitle.There is a subtitle button on the remote when pressed lanugage size etc appears but no subtitle.I have placed video and srt in one folder. Any one can solve my problem?.thanks
