I installed an Xecuter 2.6CE mod chip into a version 1.6b Xbox and now I am FRAGing. I installed the same chip on a 1.6b last year, with no problems. Anyway, I heard FRAG typically means a patchy solder job. I inspected the mobo for splatter, and couldn't see any. I want to check the continuity, but I am unsure how. I have a multimeter, but there are lots of different settings (200 Ohm, 2K, 20K, 200K, and 2M (all Ohms of course). Which one would be best? I know I am looking for a 0 reading to say the solder job is good. What would a 0.01, 0.02, or 10 mean? Also, I am a bit unsure of exactly where to put each electrode. I can do the wires easily, but I don't know where to put them around the lpc rebuild joints. Any help would be great!
