What I want to do is use my camcorder as a temporary security camera and how the video stream real time to my laptop's large hard drive.

Does anyone have any suggestion for the best camera to do this with? I want high-quality digital video.

Besides the camcorder, what other software and hardware will I need to purchase?

I want to use this with my Dell Laptop.
