Hi guys, been having problems with burns recently on my Pioneer 110D and the still new spare of the same drive. Burns would fail verification more often than not when using +R DL. I've tried a Pioneer 115D and an Optiarc 5200A, both with only limited success, the Optiarc worked like a charm for my DL, but failed dismally when using Verbatim -R SL. The new Pioneer burns successfully on the whole, but sometimes still fails on verify. I'm wondering if it could be heat related, so my question is, does anyone know if any drives have fans fitted in them like the old days of the Pioneer 103, etc. I'd prefer to go for SATA now I think, so am considering either the Pioneer 215D or the Optiarc 720xS - not fussed which model, but don't really need lightscribe. I'm avoiding the Samsung due to hearing about it not liking a lot of SATA chipsets. Anyone know if any of these drives have a fitted fan, or if not, one that does?
