Hi,
Smartripper , ie, that can rip a movie, or parts into a single vob .
Smartripper has worked 99.9% of the time, but there is one I just can't rip with it, because of new copy protection I think.

After you have the movie on your HDD, you can use DVD Shrink .
Output Files tab and uncheck Split VOB files into 1GB size chunks .
99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

You can try Avidemux and append all VObs, see if you get a different result.
