CD burning problem

I might've lost my magic touch :)
I used to burn PS2 games that are distibuted on a CD and they worked fine. Now it seems that every game I burn doesn't work. Almost always SwapMagic says that the disk is not for PS2, but one game recently seems to pass that but it hangs on the loading screen. I kinda thought it was the broken laser, but I tested other games on it and they work fine.
Can you give me any guidelines on how to burn the games on a CD, or anything that can solve this problem?

Make sure the games are for cd not dvd,i burnt micro machine v4 on dvd disc and didnt work, it was for cd.

Yeah I've been trying to burn this game too. I have been trying to convert it to dvd using the method posted elsewhere on the forum but haven't had any luck. My ps2 laser is a bit dodgy and has trouble reading even the original cd rom game. It reads dvd rom ok which is why I was trying to convert it.

This is ancient. Anyway, I figured it out what was wrong. My DVD burner can burn CDs at 16x or higher, so I switched to burning with a CD burner instead at 8x. I burned the game I was talking about on a DVD and it worked fine, I dunno what's wrong with what you're doing. I think I even burned a CD game on a DVD without IsoBuster or all that crap you're trying to do, and it worked fine.
