Is there a way to speed up downloading bittorrents? I did a search of the web and I am not sure which is right or wrong and I dont want to mess up my computer.

If anyone has any feedback on this let me know I just noticed that my computer was running a lot slower evern since I starting this

As said, port forwarding if you use a router and for some modems as well, making your client an exception in any firewall, using Protocol Encryption if your client supports it, limiting your upload to 80%. A slower computer really doesn't have much to do with bittorrent speed. Run an online scan with Dr. Web Cureit or Kaspersky to see if you have any malware. There are plenty more, Panda Activescan, Trend Housecalls, etc.
