Recommended CPU heat, and how to overclock?

2 questions here. What's the recommened CPU heat?
Mine sites between 37 and 40ish degress celcius normally.

And how do I overclock? I have no idea honest to god.
I'm a software kinda person, not hardware, so it's always good to learn. (Custom PC btw, I didn't buy from a manufacturer.)

Alright, I found out how to overclock. I set it to 3.75Mh.

Is there anything I shoudl worry bout besides temp?

My temp went from 38 degrees celcius to 43 degrees celcius

Heh, it crashed 10 mins after booting (figured)

Down to 3375mhz.

Still need info on how to stay safe.

you will get more help if you post in the offical ocing thread, but yes temps are your biggest foe.

sounds like you need more volts but that = more temps.

I can add more volts, but I'm new to overclocking and afraid I'm gunna fry it.
