I have a 533w HP Pavilion computer with this specs

Available Physical Memory 408.34 MB
Total Virtual Memory 2.00 GB
Available Virtual Memory 1.96 GB

you would most likly need to reinstall the os, i would also try to see if you could use the ram too as yours will need more.

looking over the specs 0f my a1737c hp pavilion I notice it said integrated video graphics. Does this mean I don't have a video card and if so I would have to replace the motherboard if I have a graphics problem? Thanks!

your old pc uses ddr ram so can't use ram off newer pc as it is ddr2. both have onboard video but new pc has a pci/e 16 slot whereas old pc has just pci not agp nor pci/e 16. old pc does not have sata on it so will need a pci sata controller card to use the new hd. disconnect all cables to drives on new pc. remove all cards & ram but reseat 1 ram stick. try ram in different slots. try clearing the cmos as have found that to work sometimes on stubborn systems.

Look for a round silver battery and take it out for about 30 seconds..
or there will be a jumper somewhere nearby.. often red, sometimes white which should be labelled clearly cmos rst or similar. Move it across one pin.. there will be 3 pins in a line.. it will be parked on 2, then count to 30 and put it back where it was.

Now about this beeping. Does it have any pattern or is it just like beep....beep.....beep....beep.. about 1 a second.
Manufacturers usually publish the bios beep codes. They may take some hunting down. From memory one beep per second is usually a ram fault with HP machines.
