i have a fat ps2 with an mod chip MESSIAH 2. i tried burning games on
a dvd-r x16, but it wont recgonize it, i also tried dvd+r x16 and the same. now i used 2 particular brands a verbatim dvd-r x8 and a samsung pleomax dvd-r x8. the game worked on my ps2 but the game its stucking, even the sound, even some videos of the game. i burnt this game once on a x1 speed, and also tried on a x4 speed, but i got the same results, is this problem being caused, by the speed im using, or its from the game any help pls!!!!
Since it's reading so i don't think you have to book type it to DVD-ROM. the other issue is due to cheap media. Try again with Verb 16X, newer DVDs. When did you get Verb 8x DVD-R? That's old stuff.
these are the latest verbatim i used, now im using pleomax,
i have burnt another game,it loaded fine, but when im coming to its gameplay, i play a bit and it stops to laod for about 5mins, i play some again, and again stops for loading, i have burnt this game on an alcohol 120% with x4 speed, is it cause of the speed the game is doing this??

I'm almost sure it's the media. It's loading, so your are bruning right, but you say it keeps on stopping to read the disc. Try Verbs again or Sonys or TY. Pleomax, never heard of that media.
