Ok as an old head at ripping but has been many years since i have done so, i recently got the new copy of shameless series 5 which i thought i would back up as my kids are animals.

I put the disk in and went for the tried and trusted method of dvd shrink it failed so i thought dvd decypter i failed.

Im now at a loss of where to go has copy protection changed in the last 4 years.

Any help be greatly appreciated

PS this may be my first post here but as it has been so long i have forgotten my previous account details and which email i used to sign up.

Yeah, copy protection has evolved, but so has the process.

Check this thread out, it outlines all the best ways to rip/burn movies available right now.

Dvd Shrink cannot handle many new releases by itself these days as it's no longer supported.
