Turned my dbox on the other day and all the BBC channels had gone. BBC One Scotland right thru to BBC News 24. Everything else is fine, movies, sports, etc. When I clicked on the channel it just said `channel unavailable`. I done a scan to try and rectify things, but now they have vanished altogether from the bouquet list.

Anyone any ideas how this can happen and how to put it right?

Did you lose only the bbc channels or more channels?

Did you ever get this resolved ? I have what sounds like a very similar problem.

I have been using Nokia 2 Chip DBox with Andromeda V2 for a while without any issues, all channels strong and clear.

A few days ago the BBC channels (Only the BBC channels) started occasional chirp and freeze. Yesterday took a turn for the worse and all BBC channels were completely black with just an occasional chirp of sound. Checked the channel info screen on BBC 1 and 2 as well as on a few working channels and the BER, SNR, SIG and BitRate were all fairly similar on working and non working channels.

I tried rescanning but that made no difference so I tried flashing the newer Blade Quad image. After flashing I set location (BasildonTW) and scanned "all UK Cable". The box picked up ALL channels apart from the BBC channels, It's like they have disappeared completely. All other channels are strong and clear.

Box is connected directly to the isolator box on the wall, no splitters etc.

I dragged my official VM box out of the cupboard and plugged that in and it picks up the BBC chans with no problems.

Any thoughts, ideas and help would be gratefully appreciated.

Sorry I've not got back sooner.

Unfortunately I don't have a straight answer I'm afraid. I switched from evocam to new and mgcam and back again but with not success. Then I ran a scan and I retrieved the generic BBC channels but not the local ones (BBC Scotland) then after a few days I tried a scan again and it came back. It's been fine since.

This won't be what you want to hear I'm sure, but from what I can assume, it just came back of it's own accord. Don't know if V!rg!n were up to anything or not.

Sorry.
