Since there is no GBA forum here, I´ll post this here.
Recently I purchased a Xploder Advance. Overjoyed I plugged this into my gba, ready to finally get some things in the Pokemon games that arent available to me (specifically, the special events for legendaries).
Though after a few tries with the codes provided on the Xploder site and other sites, I came to the conclusion that I bought an old version of the xploder (box and xploder). The Xploder needs 12 digit codes.

So I started browsing around to find what the problem was and how to fix this, I´ve found multiple converters such as CBAcrypt, Maxconvert, and the likes of these, but I still haven´t managed to get a single code working.

So, to get to my question, how do I determine what version my Xploder is, and what type of codes are available for it?
Which converter should I be using, and what do I convert it to?
And is it possible to convert ARMax codes to a format that my Xploder will accept?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
