Cannot access local disk from "my computer"

Hi all. Today i was going to access my local disk from "my computer" and, surprise of surprises, there is no local disk... The other icons are there, like the optical drive, usb flash disks, etc...
But the local disk is missing.

I even tried a system restore, but unsuccessfully. Is there anyway to restore the icon to "my computer"?

go to explorer, (right click start, the explorer) look and see if your disk shows up on there. your os is loading so thats a good thig, i dont think that there is a proble with your drive, mabe my computer is messed up, have you changed anything latly, setting or nething? or mabe it is showing up as a hidden thing in that case you have to change your setting to show hidden files.... try that no use or not what your looking for let me know.. ill think of someting
