Adding NES Roms on NDS

I have a NDS Lite and a R4 card with a 2gb microsd and i am having trouble adding nes reoms on it. I am able to play NDS games and Genesis games on this card. I have the nester ds emulator and tried to do the rom inserter and everytime i load the emulator it says no roms found. can someone please give me step by step directions on how and where to put the roms on the nester ds emulator.
