I have been trying to burn DVD's using nero vision and it makes me so mad becuase it goes through this whole process of taking 2 hours to transcode files then it just fails as it starts to burn. Very frustrating. Installed Nero 8 same thing. Regular cd's work beautiful, never had problems with shrink or ISO burns. These files are VSO's heres the log. I appreciate any help. Regards. Have a samsung burner with newest firmware.

how do you save an AVI file as an ISO. I downloaded this movie and it is already in AVI format. I put that inside nero vision and it put it into a video_ts file. Also, DVD +r's are better than -r's? Can you explain that a little further. This media was really cheap, i mean like 100 for less than 30 buck. I have used it before with this burner and dvd's did skip sometimes. Bottom line is i know that the burner works. Thanks again for the quick response. Looking foward to learning more about this. Regards.

it sounds like your CONVERTING an avi to dvd, so to play on a stand alone dvd player connected to TV.

ok when your doing your project in nero vision, change your burner link to nero image drive (.NRG) same as iso but nero's version of iso.

+R is said to be better that -R if the +R is booktyped to dvd-rom (at burning stage), if left as +R then -R is better.

yup change the discs...

Nothing here to see, move along folks.
