For some reason each time I try to save something on my laptop it will freeze up and crash the program. I've tried doing scans with AVG and starting a new account. It will solve the problem for a little while. But then it will come back. I have no idea what the prolbem is. I've been doing some reachsearch on the internet. But I can't find the answer for it.

it could be a few things. first of all, what security do you have? i had a similar problem before and it was my spyware program (spyware terminator ) which caused it. the realtime shield was a nightmare and eventually i uninstalled the whole program. it might also be your firewall .

Hi quizy. Perhaps you can download hijack this and post a log here? That would be great.
Spyware Terminator isn't bad only in the sense that it has a bad realtime shield, but that it also has a bad detection method. It does not scan for signatures or malicious code, but rather, scans for the position of the file in the hard drive. This can be confirmed by downloading Malware Immunizer, then scanning with Spyware Terminator .

yeh d the realtime shield is awful however i wasnt too impressed with the whole program. i found it very intrusive and my system was very buggy the whole time i ran it. i also didnt like the fact that they use an old spybot database and to be honest i thought it was rather complicated and bloated. many reviews from magazines dont favour it and start up mechanic plainly tells you to avoid it.

Okay so I downloaded Hijack and did a full system scan. Which also I have another question. I was looking over this log, and I have no idea how to what is worng or how to determend what problems I have with this log.

AVG ? I noticed that you upgraded to AVG 8. Many have encountered problems with the version 8, including resource hogging and problems similar to yours.
