Would anyone be able to recommend a good quality audio ripping/burning program? I need one for making carbon copies of some of my audio CD's that I want to keep in mint condition. I am not an audiophile or anything, but would like something that maintains the quality of audio of the original disc. I am using an LG 4163 burner, and plan on using Taiyo Yuden burning media.

What would you guys and girls recommend? Nero? dBPowerAmp? iTunes?

Does the actual program itself make any difference at all when just making carbon copies of CD's (no compression or encoding)? I don't mind paying for a program if it is very highly recommended for this purpose.

PS - What burning speed should I stick to in order to assure I get the best quality burn possible assuming I am using 48x TY's with my burner?

Thanks very much!!

EAC (Exact Audio Copy) is considered the 'gold standard' in CD ripping software. Since most audio CDs aren't protected, ImgBurn by itself can also be used. I'd burn those (or any) CDs at 16X.
