AVCHD on a normal DVD?

Hey guys. I'm considering on buying a Sony camcorder. It has a 40Gb HDD and records 1080i AVCHD (it's the HDR-UX10E).
My question is... I have a PS3, can I burn the AVCHD files on a normal DVD and watch them in HD on the PS3?
